Kurt joined Omega Funds in 2026. Prior to Omega, he was a science fellow at Luma Group where he evaluated novel therapeutics for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. He previously held fellowships at Engine Ventures, Eos BioInnovation, and Civilization Ventures. In addition, he was a business development fellow at Harvard University's Office of Technology Development, where he evaluated Harvard-developed life science inventions and their commercialization potential.
Kurt obtained his PhD in Immunology from Harvard University where he studied the role of stromal cells in autoimmune diseases in the lab of Dr. Michael Brenner. He also holds a BA in Biology with departmental honors from Columbia University.
