Francesco Draetta

Managing Director

Francesco has served as Managing Director at Omega Funds since 2023 and is a member of the firm’s investment committee. He focuses on early-stage investments in several of Omega’s therapeutic areas of interest and co-leads the firm’s fundraising efforts. Francesco currently serves on the Board of Directors for NRG Therapeutics and Third Arc Bio and is a board observer for Antares Therapeutics, ArtBio, and Marea Therapeutics.

Francesco began his career at Omega, where he was an Analyst from 2008-2012. Prior to rejoining Omega in 2016, he was part of the investment teams at Brookside Mezzanine Partners and at Commonfund Capital.

Francesco is a CFA charterholder, a CAIA charterholder, and a Certified FRM. He graduated cum laude from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a BBA in Finance and Operations Management.
