Sanjaya joined Omega Funds in June 2023. He is the Chief Scientific Officer of a stealth-stage immunotherapy company he co-founded with Omega.

As a leading expert in biotherapeutics with more than 30 years of experience, Sanjaya has successfully led the identification of therapeutic targets in the field of immunomodulation and has developed several platforms and biologic molecules in the various therapeutic areas, many with breakthrough designations by the FDA. Some noteworthy molecules co-invented by Sanjaya include Idarucizumab (Praxbind), Risankizumab (Skyrizi), Spesolimab (Spevigo), Lebrikizumab, Ligelizumab and Lampalizumab.

Sanjaya is the former Head of Janssen Biotherapeutics, where he led the global therapeutics discovery organization. Prior to Johnson & Johnson, he spent nine years at Boehringer Ingelheim as Head of Biotherapeutics. Sanjaya started his industry career at Tanox Inc., where he was Head of Biotherapeutics when the company was acquired by Genentech for more than $900 million in 2006. Sanjaya is a co-founder and Scientific Advisory Board member at Aliada Therapeutics, a blood-brain barrier platform company.

An author of numerous well-cited peer-reviewed articles, Sanjaya is a co-author on 47 patents and more than 60 new patent applications covering diverse areas of platform technologies, therapeutic concepts, and therapeutic moieties.
Sanjaya received his Ph.D. in molecular biology from Banaras Hindu University and conducted postdoctoral training at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
