Saoussen joined Omega Funds in 2022. She is based in Geneva and focuses on healthcare venture investments. Saoussen is currently serves on the Board of Directors of XII Medical and a board observer at NRG Therapeutics, Ousia Pharma, and Vanqua Bio.
Prior to joining Omega, Saoussen was an Investment Associate at Roche Venture Fund in Basel, Switzerland, and at Medicxi in Geneva, Switzerland. She held board observer roles at GlycoEra, Good Therapeutics (acquired by Roche for $250M in 2022), Arch Oncology, Thelium Therapeutics and PearlRiver Bio (acquired by Centessa Pharmaceuticals in 2021).
Saoussen holds a Ph.D. degree in Neuroscience from ETH Zurich and University of Zurich, Switzerland, where she carried out postdoctoral research on Alzheimer’s disease. She also holds a MS in Biosciences from École Normale Supérieure of Lyon, France, and a BA in Biochemistry from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
